So the 2020 season has come to an end and as far as a recap it's hard to even know where to start! Maybe by saying we ended the season on a run with three straight investigations where a guest fled the ship!
Was that the highlight or was it Amy Bruni and Adam Berry visiting the ship and featuring her on their show Kindred Spirits?
In any case Salem was far more active than ever and seemed to get more so as summer turned to fall. There's plenty for you to see and hear and it's taking awhile to get it ready but we didn't want to wait any longer to at least give you a taste...
On top of everything else we learned that while provoking isn't the thing to do, maybe our method of respect and thoughtfulness isn't right either. Bullying anyone?

So the latest submission for our 2020 highlight reel comes to us from the world famous It's Haunted Crew. Chris and his gang visited us twice during the season and it's safe to say both times were memorable.
Here we have a video of Nick Cates and Chris in Salem's forward passageway right at the Anchor Windlass room and it speaks for itself...

The next absolute gem was sent to us by the lovely and talented founder of Silence Paranormal, Crystal Lee (Thank you Crystal!)
As you've seen we're using cat balls quite a bit on the ship nowadays and something we often discuss is that while they light up in response to questions, we rarely if ever see them move.
Well this clip puts an end to that! I think what I like most is the way the ball rocks a little bit before it...
Well just watch the clip!

We think we were turned on to a new entity aboard the ship. An entity that we're still trying to figure out but he was pointed out to us in the Dentist's Office and he was unhappy when we started to visit him there...

While we think he eventually moved elsewhere we did manage to have some fairly meaningful conversations before he left...
We had some interesting still photographs from 2020 as well. The picture below was taken by our good friend Chris Sanders of some other good friends, Jack Kenna and Carly Hall. It looks like your basic picture but with someone waving his or her hand in front of the camera. But I wish I could tell you how much time we spent standing in the hatchway between the first Crew's Mess and the Galley trying to reproduce it to no avail.
Things to think about;
As you can see by the wheel to the right, Chris is standing in the hatchway. There's no room for a person to be standing between Chris (taking the picture) and Jack and Carly so the hand would have to be his. But could Chris have kept his camera hand steady while waving his other hand like that? None of us could do it.
Also, why aren't Jack or Carly distracted by the hand? They're looking right at the camera and don't appear to see a hand waving wildly right in front of them.

I love the picture below!
As we've talked about at length we had a number of YouTube guys aboard the ship this season and their visits were all successful. But one in particular, Elton Castee, spent an awesome night aboard Salem with Amanda Cook and Eva Nagy as their capable (if somewhat excitable) guides.
At some point in the evening the Castee Crew went back aft and pulled out some of the old Ghost Ship Harbor costumes, as we know by now that kind of thing doesn't thrill the permanent residents of the ship. Our old friend The Chief in particular.
So as Elton and company left the ship one of his guys turned and took a picture and lo and behold it appears as though someone was standing a vigilant watch over their departure...

As I said there's more to come, but we wanted to show you a highlight from our last night aboard the ship for the season. On November 20th the GBPA spent a long cold night on the ship. No guests, just the gang investigating. It was quiet early on but heated up (not literally unfortunately) as the night wore on.
As midnight came and went we were gathered in the Wardroom with various equipment and meters scattered around the room. While sadly the audio doesn't capture the entire event I think between it and the captions give you a sense of what happened.
Bear in mind, while people can fake audio or video, reactions are what they are...
