What you see here is a Boo Buddy...

In many cases, my experience tells me mostly with the spirits of children, it is often useful to use something referred to as a "Trigger Object".  This would be a toy, or something else to draw a child's attention.

While the Boo Buddy clearly falls into that category, it serves a secondary purpose as well.

The Boo Buddy is a combination trigger object, K2 Meter, EMF detector and thermometer.  After taking baseline readings, it announces changes in temperature and electro-magnetic field as well as motion in a gentle voice designed to keep the mood light and not cause any disruption.
