This is a four Channel Digital Video Recorder.  It is a multi-purpose device and in terms of equipment it is the heart of an investigation command center.  Up to four IR camera images are funneled into this device.  They are then sent to a monitor for OSD (On Screen Display) as well as recorded onto a hard drive for download and review at a later time.
