I am a 21-year retired, Active-Duty veteran of the United States Navy. My rating in the Navy was Hospital Corpsman First Class Surface Warfare (HM1(SW)). During my career, I served on three surface ships (USS Bunker Hill (CG-52, USS John S. McCain (DDG-56), and Hospital Ship USNS Comfort (T-AH-20). I also served on one Los Angeles Class fast attack submarine (USS Pittsburgh SSN-720) When I retired from the Navy in 2012, I with the Occupational Safety and Health Division of the Portsmouth Naval Submarine Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. I transferred from there in November 2022. Currently, I serve as the Director of Safety and Occupational Health at the United States Army Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts. My major hobbies are watching New England Patriots Football, occasional fishing, and riding my motorcycle. I am engaged to fellow GBPA team member Michele Rosner and I have a 22-year-old daughter named Milena.
My interest in the paranormal never really peaked until my first visit with Michele to the USS Salem in Quincy, MA. during the month of October 2019. At that time, all I had planned on was going on a ghost hunting tour onboard the ship with Michele. As a former sailor, the idea of visiting the ship was a very exciting trip down memory lane, little did I know that our visit to the USS Salem that night was going to be so much more. The sounds we heard, the spirits we encountered, the equipment activity that we witnessed, and the members of the GBPA we spoke to made it an unforgettable night. From that moment on, Michele and I made trips back to the USS Salem every weekend. Eventually, our relationship with Don and the other members of the GBPA grew. We continued to volunteer with the GBPA and assisted in giving ghost tours. These tours allowed us to share our paranormal experiences with other guests. The excitement I get as a member of the Greater Boston Paranormal Associates grows with each passing day. The spirits of sailors and civilians long past that we encounter onboard the USS Salem seems to increase each season. We are developing a rapport with the spirits because they know we are interested in them. The spirits seem to understand that we are trying to tell their stories so that memories of them are not forgotten. They know we have a vested interest in them, and we are trying to learn more all the time. There is never a dull night onboard the ship, our equipment is never silent, and guests never leave dissatisfied. |
