A Rem Pod (or Radiating Electromagnetism Pod) varies from other EM related tools in that it radiates it's own EM field.

Because the Rem Pod emits it's own field, it not only detects other EM emissions, but also fluctuations in field strengths and emissions moving in and out of it's own EM field.
